In 2003, Vans launched an extension of their label into Vans Vault which would see the skateboarding classics reworked into contemporary colors and collections. Different facets such as art, street wear, and music would lend creative attribution to the premium Vault label and their coveted collaborations. A vibrant colorway emerges on the SK8-Hi in Flame/True Blue. The pastel-like color blocking occupies the front and back panels while a deep True Blue takes over the sidestripe and tongue branding.
